The media explained the reasons for the detention in In Yekaterinburg, the head of the "Center for Culture, Youth and Sports of the Azerbaijanis of the Urals" Vidadi Mustafayev, whom the media called the self-proclaimed new head of the Azerbaijani diaspora in the region after Shahin Shikhlinski was detained in the summer.

According to the "Base", several statements were written to Mustafayev to the police from employees of Agroproduct, including the former director. According to investigators, in 2018, the suspect signed a loan agreement with the organization for 4 million rubles. But the company could not pay the debt, and then he seized its plots, the cadastral value of which was six times the loan amount, as payment for forged documents. Secondly, Mustafayev's former friend and partner accused him of fraud. According to the statement of this person, Mustafayev bought a Porsche car from him, but did not fully pay the agreed amount.
