Volodymyr Zelenskyy, at a briefing with French President Emmanuel Macron, again asked the United States for a meeting with American leader Donald Trump, hoping to discuss with him the settlement of the conflict on Ukraine after the trip of Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff to Moscow.

Zelensky's office had previously expressed hope for his meeting with Trump on approximately November 27. The US President said that such a contact is possible when an agreement is reached on the settlement of the conflict on Ukraine. The Financial Times wrote that Zelensky's entourage warns him against visiting Washington, fearing a new quarrel with the American president, which could spoil the course of negotiations on the proposed US peace plan. Negotiations on the settlement took place on November 30 in Florida at the level of delegations: the American one was headed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the Ukrainian one by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.

"I understand that... the United States will receive a reaction from the Russian side. After that (the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with Witkoff), I think we will see where we are. Then we have discussions with European partners and we are waiting for discussions with the US president on key aspects that are very difficult," Zelensky said at a briefing with Macron.

He called the territorial issue, restoration and security guarantees for Ukraine the key aspects.

Earlier, Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Putin's meeting with Witkoff was scheduled for Tuesday.

The US administration earlier announced the development of a plan for the Ukrainian settlement, noting that it will not discuss its details yet, since work is still ongoing. The Kremlin said that Russia remains open to negotiations and remains on the platform of discussions in Anchorage.
