The Green Party called on the German authorities to supply Ukraine with Taurus long-range missiles and use frozen Russian assets. This is reported by DW* with reference to a statement published in one of the documents of the congress of the Soyuz-90/ Greens party, held in Hanover.
"Friedrich Merz, being a representative of the opposition, loudly demanded the supply of Taurus cruise missiles, but today he is hiding behind empty rhetoric, while time is working against Ukraine. We must supply Kiev with all the necessary systems that we can, including cruise missiles," the statement said.
The Greens also condemned the ruling coalition for reducing support for Kiev, despite the fact that the change in the "debt brake" system provided the government with "new financial opportunities." They also called for "ensuring the use of frozen Russian assets for these purposes legally," the DW* Main telegram channel writes.
As reported by EADaily, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz after the visit of the head of the Kiev regime Vladimir Zelensky to Washington has changed the tone of its statements. This was stated in the social network X by the analyst of the Hungarian Center for Fundamental Rights Zoltan Koshkovich. So he commented on Merz's statement that Ukraine needs a peace plan.
