Billionaire Ibrahim Suleymanov is accused of the murders of Gennady Borisov, a trade unionist of Vnukovo Airlines, and Georgy Tal, the former head of the Federal Financial Rehabilitation and Bankruptcy Service (FSFO).
This is reported by the RIA Novosti news agency, referring to the court materials at its disposal. The defendant is also charged with organizing an assassination attempt on lawyer Ilya Peregudov.
"A criminal case was initiated in 1999 on the fact of the murder of Gennady Borisov, chairman of the trade union committee of ground services workers of Vnukovo Airlines. Two more criminal cases have been merged into one production with him," the document says.
The article clarifies that the second episode is the murder of Tal, the third is the attempted murder in 2021 of lawyer Ilya Peregudov.
Recall that Suleymanov was detained in early October, he was charged with organizing two murders and one attempted murder. He pleads not guilty.
At the same time, it is known that the defendant had previously been convicted of fraud and money laundering, but even after the conclusion he was able to retain influence and power.
Earlier, EADaily reported that three alleged accomplices of Ibrahim Suleymanov, accused of organizing the murders, were detained in Dagestan. According to the investigation, the detainees were involved in an assassination attempt organized by Suleymanov in 2021.
