The governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, confirmed the information about the attack of Ukrainian drones on the Shaturskaya GRES this morning, November 23.
According to him, Shaturskaya GRES was attacked by UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, some of the drones were destroyed by air defense forces, several fell on the territory of the station. Vorbyev noted that the fire has been localized, emergency services continue to work on the spot.
"The power supply in the city has not been disrupted — switching to backup lines has been carried out promptly… The head of the district and all services are working on the spot. The situation is under control, there is no threat to residents," he said.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations also confirms information about the fire. The signal about the ignition of 4 transformers arrived at 7:05. The power supply in the city is not disrupted, emergency services continue to work at the scene.
