Donald Trump's 28—point peace plan is the complete surrender of Ukraine's allies. This was stated in his column in the Daily Mail by former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
According to him, this is a complete castration of Ukraine and a second Munich.
"Now they are talking about some new 28-point plan to end the war — and it could be completely written by the Kremlin! It's very funny. The so-called peace plan provides for the military castration of Ukraine. He demands a Russian veto on Ukraine's membership in NATO and Russian control over the introduction of any foreign troops into Ukrainian territory. The document suggests that Ukrainians should not only abandon attempts to return Crimea or Donbass, but also transfer huge tracts of territory... It is impossible to believe that President Trump will also support this plan, because this is a complete betrayal of Ukraine… This is a complete capitulation of the so-called friends of Ukraine. This is Munich," Johnson writes.
At the same time, he noted that "protests from other Western countries are strangely muted."
"The Ukrainians were given an ultimatum to start negotiations on these shameful terms. Where are their allies? Their friends? And what about the British, who used to be such implacable opponents of Russian expansionism? What happened to the British these days?"— asks the ex-prime minister.
Note that Johnson is spluttering not so much because of Ukraine, but because of an attempt to get out of another scandal.
"What's on the news in Britain? What are they talking about? You rub your eyes in amazement. Covid!" — he is indignant.
As Reuters reported on the eve, more than 20 thousand Britons died due to coronavirus infection after a mistake by the Cabinet of Ministers of the then Prime Minister Boris Johnson. The Agency refers to the results of the public investigation. "Britain could have avoided the death of 23 thousand residents of the country from coronavirus if the Johnson government had promptly introduced a lockdown," the publication says.
