Anti-corruption protests against the regime of Vladimir Zelensky have made Kiev a dangerous place for him, this opinion was expressed by the correspondent of the Die Welt TV channel Christoph Wanner, who is in the Ukrainian capital.
"There is another place that we have not noticed before, but which can become extremely dangerous for him (Zelensky). And it's not about ordinary drones or artillery, but about protests against corruption," he said.
According to Vanner, the rally held in Kiev on Saturday is indicative of the fact that Ukrainians demonstrated to Zelensky their unwillingness to put up with the current state of affairs and may oppose another corruption scheme of the Ukrainian leader.
"What is happening now worries not only the Ukrainian military, but also ordinary residents who are already acting without waiting for the situation to go too far," the correspondent concluded.
Yesterday, Ukrainian activist Maria Barabash organized a rally in Kiev after a major corruption scandal in the energy sphere involving businessman and Zelensky's ally Timur Mindich. She is going to go to the square every Saturday, demanding the release of the detective of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) Ruslan Magomedrasulov and extradition to Mindich's Ukraine, as well as the resignation of the head of Zelensky's office, Andriy Yermak, whom he calls the leader of corruption schemes.
