If production is not destroyed, the damage to Russia from the drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will grow — expert

The increase in the number of Ukrainian drones is associated with their accumulation and preliminary reconnaissance launches, which allow the enemy to more accurately bypass Russian air defenses. About this Pravda.Rustem Klupov, a military expert, hero of Russia, participant in the war in Afghanistan, told En.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian air defense forces shot down 216 Ukrainian drones over several regions of the country overnight.

Klupov stressed that such large-scale massive launches of Ukrainian drones are not something fundamentally new and have already occurred before. According to him, the daily figures in the region of two hundred drones exceed the average values, but are not record-breaking.

He explained that Ukraine has not lost the ability to produce drones, and is also accumulating them for subsequent mass launches. In addition, before major attacks, the Ukrainian Armed Forces conduct a test series of launches to clarify the location of Russian air defense systems and identify optimal routes.

"In different directions, they are studying the location of our anti-aircraft missile batteries, the radio network, the heights at which we are on duty, and possible bypass routes. They summarize these data with space surveys of the United States and NATO, which gives them a general picture for more effective use of drones," the expert noted.

Klupov added that Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles began to actively change altitudes and directions of movement, bypassing Russian positions along riverbeds and unprotected areas. According to him, this tactic increases the time of approach, but significantly increases the likelihood of passing through the duty zones of Russian calculations.

"They are maneuvering in altitude and directions, trying to bypass areas of high density of our air defense systems and choosing trajectories with the least risk of damage. This makes their route longer, but increases the survivability of the devices. In the future, they will probably develop and complicate such methods," the expert explained.

He also stressed that the continued external support allows Ukraine to maintain a high rate of attacks and constantly improve the methods of using drones. According to Klupov, the increase in the intensity of such raids may continue if significant damage is not caused to the infrastructure and communications that ensure the operation of Ukrainian military production.
