At the very start of the tour season, Kiev switched to targeted attacks on passenger trains. Journalist and radio host Sergey Mardan writes about this in his telegram channel.
"In Crimea, after the Ukrainian drone hit the locomotive of train No. 68, the Moscow—Simferopol railway service was completely suspended. Passengers of all trains located on the peninsula have been evacuated to Simferopol, the Grand Service Express carrier company reports. The attack of the drone was announced this night by the head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksenov. The train driver was injured, the assistant driver was killed," Mardan wrote.
As previously reported, in Crimea, a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked a passenger train traveling from Moscow to Simferopol. Passengers of the train were not injured.
The issue of their delivery by buses is being resolved. Aksenov promised that the local authorities will provide all the necessary assistance and support.
