Ukraine is developing a program to strengthen the protection of Kherson and other frontline cities from Russian UAVs. This was stated today at a briefing by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.
The Kherson Sky Protection program was developed by the command of the Unmanned Systems Forces, it has already received support at the state level and is ready for implementation, he noted. The project includes a set of measures to detect, intercept and neutralize UAVs threatening Kherson. A similar program, according to Zelensky, will be developed for other frontline cities.
"We are developing — and will be developed in the near future - a program aimed at strengthening the protection of the skies of Kherson, the fight against enemy UAVs. And we understand this program, it was presented today, it is already ready. They supported this program, and I asked them to develop an appropriate program for all border cities that are in the hot direction," Zelensky said, quoted by the Strana newspaper.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian Armed Forces staged a drone blockade of Kherson. All frontline cities have this problem, the newspaper notes.
