The armed forces of Germany and other Western European countries are not able to effectively counter Russian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
This was the conclusion reached by war correspondent Ibrahim Naber, who outlined his vision of the problem in an article for Focus.
The journalist stated that Russian drones radically changed the course of military operations, making significant changes in the balance of forces.
"Russian drones have fundamentally changed the nature of the conflict forever, because they make the battlefield more transparent. We are far from being ready for defense," the military correspondent complained.
It follows from his explanations that the main advantage of Russian drones is their ability to make the battlefield more open and accessible. This creates a vulnerability for Western Europe, Naber concluded.
Recall that the Russian military began to use the newest fiber-optic drone of the aircraft type "Prince Prophetic Oleg" (CVO) in the zone of the special military operation (SMO). This fiber-optic UAV is characterized by increased survival and record flight range.
Earlier, EADaily reported that Germany sent units of the air force and UAV counteraction systems to help Belgium amid recent incidents with drones at Belgian airports and military bases.
