US President Donald Trump has radically changed his position on the Ukrainian conflict, as he was angered by the media coverage of the Russian-American summit in Alaska.
Politico writes about this with reference to its own knowledgeable sources. It is claimed that Trump's anger was caused by the fact that the summit in Anchorage was presented by most publications as a triumph of Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
According to an insider, media coverage of the Alaska summit, dubbed "Putin's triumph," has angered Trump," the article says.
The publication states that as a result, the American leader himself "received nothing" from the Anchorage summit. And Trump also did not see any positive consequences for himself.
In addition, it is alleged that the change in Washington's position on Ukraine was influenced by Trump's dissatisfaction with the visit of Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to China in September. Kiev's hard work on mistakes in relations with Trump also played a role, the agency concludes.
As EADaily reported, earlier US President Donald Trump said that he was exploring options for transferring any weapons to Ukraine, in addition to Tomahawk missiles. He also announced the alleged offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
