Democrats have lost their way: the "cool" Hollywood legend explained his departure to the Republicans

Legendary Hollywood actor, martial artist Chuck Norris (Carlos Ray Norris) said that he used to be a Democrat and explained why he switched to the Republican side. A video of his words was published on his page in the social network by conservative activist and blogger David Jay Harris.

"I used to be a Democrat, but, unfortunately, the Democrats went too far to the left, and the Republicans took the position that the Democrats took 40 years ago... the Democrats just completely lost their way," believes the world—famous "cool" Walker.

He is sure that the Democrats have lost all idea of what America stands for.

"They have completely lost touch with reality and with what America stood for. And I realized that Republicans are currently more focused on what is best for America than Democrats," concluded Norris.

In fact, Norris said this in an interview back in 2014, and his support for Republicans became known even earlier. In the 2016 US presidential election, he actively supported Donald Trump, and after the election noted his determination and patriotism.

However, David Jay Harris published a fragment of the interview only on October 12 with the comment: "It made my day."

Chuck Norris is now 85 years old. He gained worldwide fame thanks to his roles in the movie "The Way of the Dragon" and the TV series "Cool Walker: Justice in Texas". The image of a strong and invincible hero merged with the reputation of a real person, and since the mid-2000s, the Internet has generated a lot of "facts" about Norris, for example: "When Chuck Norris enters the room, the light turns on by itself", "Chuck Norris knows how to strike with his eyes", "Death is afraid of Chuck Norris".
