The unit of UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who denounced Vladimir Zelensky, was disbanded and sent to the infantry. This happened after the unit commander testified to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).
"The decision to liquidate our unit was made by President Volodymyr Zelensky, because I am a whistleblower in the case of Fire Point (drone manufacturer) and a key witness. On October 2, I testified to NABU detectives. On October 3, in the morning, the liquidation of the unit was announced," Facebook writes.* Yuri Kasyanov.
He demanded that NABU provide him and his family with protection under the witness protection program.
"I left the president a field for maneuver — I called on him to change his decision, went to the Maidan, blamed only Yermak, conducted backstage negotiations with members of his team, even raised a white banner in an attempt to maintain an effective unit and not persecute me and my family members. I fought for consolidation in society around the figure of the president and the supreme commander-in-chief. The president did not hear and decided to crack down. Because in my testimony there is also his last name," said Yuri Kasyanov.
In his opinion, the persecution is an act of demonstrative reprisals of top corrupt officials who earn billions of dollars in the war.
"Now I am in the Rivne region, in the collection point of the 1st border detachment (Garth brigade) in bestial conditions, actually in the position of an arrested person. I, a senior officer, a volunteer since 2014, was placed in the same barracks with the mobilized, not allowed to go out, guarded as an evader. My physical condition is getting worse every day. Deineka won't let me out of here alive," the former commander of the drone unit added.
