To protect Munich Airport from unknown drones, the local police are taking emergency measures. A laser installation has been deployed near the airport, clamshells and air mattresses have been delivered to the terminals, Bild writes.
As the German newspaper hopes, laser equipment will allow to determine the distance to drones and shoot them down. At the same time, the Central Directorate for Combating Terrorism and Extremism is investigating who is launching these drones.
"Air mattresses and 3,000 cots have also been prepared in the airport terminals in order to provide passengers with minimal amenities in case of delays or cancellations of flights due to drones," Bild writes.
