Cooling in Russia's demand for gas has sharply increased. Gazprom reports a new consumption record in September — 1 billion cubic meters per day.
Gazprom has updated the historical record of daily gas supplies in September from the Unified Gas Supply System of Russia. On September 30, 1 billion cubic meters of gas was delivered to Russian consumers," the company reports.
The previous record was set the day before — on September 29. Then Russia burned 982.1 billion cubic meters.
Gazprom explains the jump in demand with a sharp cooling and the beginning of the heating season in many regions of the country.
