2 days before his 89th birthday, theater and film actor Gennady Nilov died. This is reported by the Union of Cinematographers of Russia.
"Recently Gennady Petrovich has not acted in films and spent all his time in In Priozersk, Leningrad region, on the shore of Lake Ladoga, but I always remembered my colleagues and filming in wonderful films with reverence and kindness," the message says.
Gennady Nilov was born on October 1, 1936 in Luga, Leningrad region. In 1959 he graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography and was accepted into the staff of the Lenfilm film Studio.
Nilov's debut in cinema took place as a child, in the extras of the film "The Scout's Feat", where the main role was played by the artist's uncle, actor Pavel Kadochnikov. In the fourth year of the institute, Nilov played episodes in the films "Life is in your Hands", "Overcoat" and "Virgin Soil Raised".
At Lenfilm, the actor immediately got the main role in the film "A Man with a Future", where he played the young inventor Ivan Kondakov. In the future, Gennady Nilov's heroes were mostly strong and courageous characters, which he performed with great energy.
The most famous and beloved role of Gennady Nilov by the audience was and remains the role of Sundukov in the comedy "Three plus Two".
