A court in Moscow has chosen detention as a preventive measure for a fitter-assembler who worked at one of the defense enterprises, who was accused of a terrorist attack and vandalism.
This was reported on Saturday, September 27 by RIA Novosti, referring to official court documents.
It follows from them that the man is accused of committing crimes under paragraph "a" of part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code (a terrorist act committed by a group of persons by prior arrangement or organized by a group) and part 1 of Article 214 of the Criminal Code (vandalism).
It is reported that earlier the person involved was extended the arrest, despite the efforts of his lawyers. He petitioned for the release of the defendant from the pre-trial detention center, and for the election of a milder preventive measure for him.
The defenders believe that the locksmith's intention to commit the incriminated act was absent. However, the prosecution does not agree with this.
At the same time, the investigation believes that, being at large, the accused will hide from the preliminary investigation and trial and continue to engage in criminal activities.
