The mother of Gevorg Sargsyan, accused of fraud against the singer, People's Artist of Russia Oleg Gazmanov, has been put on the wanted list. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to court documents.
"Sargsyan Dina is wanted under part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation," the materials say.
The documents also specify that she is the mother of Gevorg Sargsyan.
As EADaily reported, in 2019, Gazmanov and his wife issued a loan to Sargsyan. A year later, they asked for a refund, but he did not return it. Later, the couple realized that they had been deceived, and decided to apply to The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, the publication, citing law enforcement sources, reported that a man was detained in Moscow on suspicion of fraud against Gazmanov and his wife. He turned out to be a previously untried citizen of the Russian Federation.
The interlocutor of the agency pointed out that in the criminal case of Sargsyan there are several episodes of criminal activity, including fraud with the star family.
The detainee has already been charged.
After the detention, the Moscow City Court released Sargsyan under house arrest. However, he was later arrested in another criminal case of fraud.
The lawyer of the artist's family, Roman Kuzmin, said that Gazmanov wants to be returned first of all "the money he saved for retirement."
