The American government intends to regain control of the Bagram airbase in Afghanistan. This was announced today, September 18, by US President Donald Trump at a joint press conference with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at his Chequers country residence.
"We are going to keep Bagram, the largest airbase in the world. We gave it away just like that. By the way, we're trying to get her back. Good? It may become a small sensation," he said.
As EADaily reported, even during his election campaign, Donald Trump said that the former American Bagram air base was under Chinese control, but then in Beijing refuted this statement.
