The head of the Central Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, stated that there were no prerequisites for a recession in the country. According to the head of the regulator, experts are observing a real slowdown in the economy.
Nabiullina announced this at the Moscow Financial Forum.
"Do not confuse the recession, which, I agree, is associated with very negative phenomena, a slowdown in the economy, yes, a slowdown in the economy is happening, but there is no recession. And even when they talk about a technical recession, they mean that the economy is declining for two quarters in a row, we don't have this either," the economist said.
EADaily previously also informed that the Ministry of Finance told how to properly go through the cooling period of the Russian economy.
