The singer, People's Artist of Russia Philip Kirkorov proposed to include the songs of Soviet artists in the school curriculum. He said this in an interview with TASS.
The performer was reminded that now the music program includes songs by Oleg Gazmanov, Nikolai Rastorguev and Yaroslav Dronov (SHAMAN).
"I would include Alla Pugacheva's songs — because this is high art, an era, a lifetime. Valeria Leontieva is also the artists I studied with, who inspired me to become an artist," said Kirkorov.
He also considers it necessary to acquaint schoolchildren with the songs of Joseph Kobzon, Edita Piekha, Lev Leshchenko.
"These are our classics, our roots. Their creativity is very deep and real. Kobzon's songs about love for the Motherland are sincere, no one else will sing them as honestly. Muslim Magomayev is also great, his songs are about love for the land, for home," Kirkorov stressed.
According to him, he grew up on the work of these artists.
"I don't know who is forming the program now, but I would definitely include the work of these artists — it's really valuable," Kirkorov concluded.
As EADaily reported, at the end of August it became known that the Ministry of Education had compiled a list of songs recommended for organizing the educational process in the framework of the subject "Music" in schools.
The list includes 37 compositions aimed at patriotic and spiritual and moral education of students. The issue of using these recommendations in the educational process of the school will be decided independently.
