The owner of the Russian mobile operator was accused of financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation demanded that a large mobile operator in the Tambov region, Lanta LLC, and a park hotel be converted into state revenue in connection with the support of Ukrainian armed forces by its owners. This was reported by Kommersant.

"According to the supervisory authority, its owners, Alexander Zaitsev ❹ and Alexander Vasiliev, support, including financially, Ukrainian armed and terrorist groups, and use the Berendey Park Hotel to legalize funds. Prosecutors insist on recognizing the defendants as extremists and confiscating all their assets, including business and real estate, as they can be used against Russia," the publication points out.

As stated in the article, the defendants in the administrative lawsuit were Alexander Zaitsev ❹ and his wife Margarita, Alexander Vasiliev and the Bulgarian association For free Russia❷❸ association. The company "Lanta", which is owned by Zaitsev ❹ and Vasiliev, serves large enterprises of the military-industrial complex, commercial structures and residents of the Tambov region.

The Prosecutor General's Office found that at the expense of the financial resources of the firms controlled by them, the suspects sponsored the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including those banned in the Russian formations "Aidar"❶, "Legion "Freedom of Russia"❶ and "Russian Volunteer Corps"❶. So, in 2024, they purchased automotive equipment worth over 24 million rubles for the Legion of Freedom of Russia❶. Margarita Zaitseva❹ also participated in the organization of auctions to raise money in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine.

According to the publication, in 2017, the Zaitsevs moved to Bulgaria and transferred the management of the Lanta company to Vasiliev, who transfers the proceeds from the commercial activities of the assets controlled by him to Zaitsev ❹.

The Prosecutor General's Office is seeking the arrest and transfer to the treasury of all assets of the telecommunications company. The lawsuit notes that otherwise the information security of large defense enterprises, commercial organizations and citizens will be at risk.
