The hysteria that gripped the Polish authorities after the flight of unknown drones on September 10 continues. On Saturday, there were reports that drones visited the country on September 13. Zelensky said that Poland had used a military response to the threat of Russian drone strikes. The Polish Ministry of Defense denied it.
"In connection with the actions of the military on September 13, 2025, related to the threat of violation of our airspace, we inform you that all available measures have been taken to confirm the indications of radar systems about a possible violation of Polish airspace. The actions carried out did not confirm the testimony of our systems and, consequently, the violation of Polish airspace," the Polish Defense Ministry said on the social network X.
The department noted that erroneous assumptions of the recording systems could have been caused by atmospheric conditions, but required a reaction due to the presence of objects located near the border.
"A similar situation took place yesterday in Romania, where radar readings were also recorded and the air defense system was activated," the Polish ministry said.
As EADaily reported, the operational command of the Polish Armed Forces reported on the destruction of several drones that flew into Poland on the night of September 9-10. The government of the country called these drones Russian. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that the drones were shot down by Polish, Dutch, German and Italian fighters.
Although NATO aircraft were deployed for the first time in relation to potential threats in airspace, the bloc does not consider this incident an attack, a source in the alliance told Reuters.
