The Meshchansky court of Moscow, by its decision, arrested the Russian individual entrepreneur Sergei Derevyanko, who is accused of treason.
According to the TASS news agency, this person involved before his detention was engaged in wholesale trade, including jewelry, and also carried out farming activities.
"The petition of the investigation on the election of a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to IP Derevyanko S. I. under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (treason). The decision has entered into force," the article says.
They did not comment on the details of the criminal case in court, but it is known that within the framework of this article the accused faces punishment up to life imprisonment.
The publication also notes, referring to the court file, that the arrested businessman did not receive any petitions to appeal the arrest order.
Earlier, EADaily reported that a resident of Khabarovsk was sentenced to a 15-year prison term for desecrating the graves of participants in a special military operation (SMO) on the instructions of the special services of the Kiev regime.
