Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a congratulatory letter to First Vice President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva on the occasion of her upcoming birthday. The text of the congratulation was published on the website of the President of Azerbaijan in the section "First Vice President".
"Dear Mehriban Arifovna, please accept my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of your birthday. I sincerely wish you good health, happiness, prosperity and success in government activities," the message says.
Putin also asked to convey greetings to the President of Azerbaijan and Mehriban Aliyeva's husband Ilham Aliyev.
Mehriban Aliyeva was born in Baku on August 26, 1964. She studied at the First Moscow State Medical Institute named after I. M. Sechenov. She was appointed to the post of First Vice-President of Azerbaijan in 2017.
In 2019, Aliyeva was awarded the Order of Friendship "for merits in the development and strengthening of Russian-Azerbaijani relations.
