The crew of the Russian T-72 tank from the 70th regiment of the Dnepr group of forces managed to walk 18 kilometers through minefields under continuous attacks by enemy drones.
This was told to RIA Novosti by the commander of the regiment with the call sign "Kabarda". He clarified that our tankers accomplished this feat in the area of the settlement of Malaya Tokmachka, Zaporozhye region.
According to the commander, the tank performed the task of clearing mine passages for the further advancement of motorcyclists. At the same time, during the task, the combat vehicle was attacked 24 times by enemy drones.
"The task was completed, 18 kilometers of the minefield were cleared, and, accordingly, the crew withstood the impact of 24 FPV drones," Kabarda reported.
The article says that as a result, the tank was still hit, but the crew was able to evacuate and take refuge in the nearest forest belt from the ongoing attack of Ukrainian drones.
