The Russian-American summit in Anchorage demonstrated that Russia's demands to end the armed confrontation on the Ukraine remained unchanged.
This was stated to the Donetsk News Agency (DAN) on Saturday, August 16, political scientist Vladimir Karasev. In the same way he commented on the results of the meeting of the presidents Russia and the USA Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.
"I positively assess the negotiations that have taken place. The key thing is that we started talking in person. Indeed, this is a landmark meeting. Let's see how the story goes from Washington, because the demands of the Russian Federation were unchanged, and Vladimir Vladimirovich voiced our conditions. The special military operation continues, the liberation of Russian lands and Russian cities will continue," the political scientist said.
In his opinion, now the responsibility for the continuation of the conflict rests with the head of the Kiev Zelensky regime and his European curators.
"If they reject Donald Trump's proposal, agreed with Vladimir Putin, the United States will withdraw from the support process, and Europe and the Ukrainian junta will be left alone with the Russian army," the source said.
He stressed that this is fraught with many times greater losses for Russia's opponents, since the Russian army will move forward much faster. And this offensive will take place against the backdrop of strengthening relations between Russia and the United States.
Karasyov warned that the reaction of Europe and Ukraine to the new realities will become clear in the coming days.
"The key thing is that Russia and the United States have become closer in a number of economic areas and will work successfully in this regard. This is a mutually beneficial cooperation. The second key factor is that the special military operation continues, all tasks will be completed," the political scientist concluded.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the head of the Kiev regime Zelensky on Monday, August 18, will hold a personal meeting with Trump in Washington. During the telephone conversation, Trump told Zelensky that Putin did not want a cease-fire and preferred a comprehensive agreement to end the war.
