A total of at least 10 people were poisoned and died from homemade chacha, which was sold by two residents of Sochi. This was announced today, August 7, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the investigation materials.
The Adler district court of Sochi arrested a 30-year-old and a 71-year-old resident of Sochi for two months, they pleaded guilty. At the same time, both were aware that alcohol under the guise of "homemade wine" and "chacha" was made artisanal and did not meet any safety requirements, the press service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory specified.
The case acquired an All—Russian resonance the day before - in the village of Sirius at the Cossack market, a married couple purchased homemade alcohol, but after drinking both died in intensive care. Four more people are in hospital in serious condition.
