The first echelon with Russian military personnel and equipment has arrived in Belarus to prepare for and further participate in the joint Belarusian-Russian strategic exercise Zapad-2025. This was announced today, August 6, by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic.
Pavel Shebeko, Deputy Commander of the Northwestern Operational Command, said:
"Today, in a solemn atmosphere, we met the first representatives of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. During the exercise, we plan to work out new forms and methods of using units of military units of the ground forces based on the analysis of the latest modern military conflicts."
He also recalled that such exercises are held on a regular basis with a frequency of two years, alternately on the territory of Belarus and Russia.
EADaily clarifies that the Zapad-2025 exercise is the main stage of joint training of the armies of the two states this year. The maneuvers will be held in September. Currently, Belarusian and Russian servicemen are at the final stage of training.
It is also worth noting that Polish sofa experts tensed up when they found out that there are Russian infantry fighting vehicles in Belarus with red identification marks — exactly the same as those on the uniforms of Russian soldiers participating in the special operation to denazify Ukraine.
