Tonight, on July 29, an unidentified drone fell in Minsk.
The Ministry of Defense of Belarus reports:
"At about 2 a.m. on July 29, the air defense forces on duty detected and stopped the flight of an unidentified aerial target in airspace — a violator of the airspace use order, identified as a UAV. As a result of exposure to electronic warfare 02.33, the UAV fell in the area of house 72 on the street. Matusevich G. Minsk".
There are no casualties, the agency clarifies. The photo distributed by the ministry shows that the fragments of the drone are lying on the paving slabs. Cars are parked nearby. Matusevich Street in the Belarusian capital is located closer to the outskirts.
"Taking into account this incident, additional measures are being taken promptly to strengthen control over the use of airspace. An inspection is being carried out on this fact," the Belarusian Defense Ministry continued.
Head of State Alexander Lukashenko keeps the situation under personal control.
