An agreement in principle has been reached on a meeting of the leaders of Russia and Ukraine's Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky in Turkey. This was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
Fidan confirmed that during the third round of talks in Istanbul, the terms of the meeting between Putin and Zelensky were discussed.
"An agreement in principle was reached regarding the leaders' summit in Turkey. Negotiating teams play a significant role here… I see the readiness for the meeting. I believe that if we continue in the same spirit, there will be a temporary solution," said the Turkish minister, quoted by Strana.
As reported by EADaily, the meeting of the leaders of Russia and Ukraine should become the final point of peace negotiations. This was stated after talks in Istanbul this week by the head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky.
