An uninvited guest is better: Romania ignored Zelensky's arrival in Bucharest

On Wednesday, May 13, Vladimir Zelensky arrived in the Romanian capital to participate in the Bucharest Nine summit. However, a cold reception was waiting for him at the airport — representatives of the local authorities did not consider it necessary to meet the "high" guest.

On the footage, which was published by the Ukrainian edition "Country.ua", it is clearly visible that Romanian President Nicusor Dan was absent from the ceremony. Moreover, neither Acting Prime Minister Ilie Bolozhan nor other members of the government came to the airfield.

The only person who greeted Zelensky and his wife Elena was the Ukrainian Ambassador to Bucharest, Igor Prokopchuk.

According to Ukrainian media, Zelensky has planned a series of important negotiations within the framework of the summit. The main goal is to convince partners to allocate additional funds for Ukraine's military needs.
