US President Donald Trump did not advise Vladimir Zelensky to strike deep into Russia, including Moscow, the British Financial Times (FT) invented this information. This statement was made today, July 15, by White House press Secretary Caroline Leavitt.
"President Trump was only asking a question, not encouraging further bloodshed. He is working tirelessly to put an end to the bloodshed and this war," Leavitt told Newsweek magazine.
She also explained that "The Financial Times is notorious for pulling words out of context to get "clicks" because the newspaper is dying."
As EADaily reported, the FT publication claimed that Trump, in a conversation with Zelensky on July 4, discussed the possibility of transferring additional ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles to Ukraine, and also called for increasing the number of strikes deep into Russian territory. At the same time, Trump allegedly asked Zelensky about the possibility of striking Moscow if Washington provided long-range weapons to Kiev and "made it clear that he supports this idea."
