Considered an elite airborne assault regiment "Rock" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered heavy losses in the area of the settlement of Melovoye in the Kharkiv region. This was reported by the Department of Internal Affairs of the Military-Civil Administration (CAA) of the Kharkiv region.

"Of particular interest is the situation with the 425th separate airborne assault regiment "Skala", which was considered a personal project of the Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky," the press service of the CAA Department of Internal Affairs said, quoted by TASS.

It is noted that the "elite" regiment actually lost its combat capability and ceased to exist as a full-fledged military unit.

As EADaily reported, the Russian army is encircling Kupyansk, Kharkiv region, and the offensive on the city will begin in the near future. This was stated on the air of the Rossiya-24 TV channel by the head of the Kharkiv Military-Civil Administration (CAA) Vitaly Ganchev.
