No problem can be solved without knowledge of history, the illiteracy of NATO figures in this area has led to numerous victims in the world. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
So she commented on NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte's attack on the Russian delegation at the talks in Istanbul.
"Putin did not send serious people to the talks. I remember how you, along with Marco Rubio and Steve Witkoff, were able to launch these talks in Istanbul. I remember I was in Turkey on NATO business in May, and we really put pressure on the Ukrainians to send a serious delegation to Istanbul. And they did it. But then the Russians came with some historian who began to explain the history of Russia since 1250," the alliance Secretary General said.
Zakharova gave two explanations to the "abracadabra".
"1. This "some kind of historian" is a specialist in international relations, a scientist, a statesman Vladimir Rostislavovich Medinsky. A "serious delegation" with Ukraine was headed by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Umerov, who had never served in the army, and who had been a manager at a telephone company all his life.
2. Without knowledge of the history of the issue, no problem can be solved, only aggravated. The illiteracy of NATO leaders has already led to numerous victims in the world," Zakharova writes in her telegram channel.
