More than 100 flights were delayed at Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg. Also, 20 flights were canceled and passengers were redirected to other flights. It is expected that 10 aircraft will return to Petersburg. By the end of the day, it is planned to stabilize the schedule, but with the postponement of some flights to July 8. According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, today, on July 7, it is planned to serve 658 flights, 107 of them international.

According to the telegram channel Mash, passengers stuck in Pulkovo are rebelling against a paid smoking room, for which you have to pay 500 rubles each time. The GBR arrived at the scene.

The airport management claims that it cannot make the smoking room free even temporarily, otherwise there will be a crush.

"The room is designed for 6 people, and the ventilation system can not cope, yesterday the smoking room was even closed for some time," the Pulkovo press service explained.

At about 12.00 Moscow time, 95 flights were delayed — all for more than 2 hours, Mash said.

Temporary restrictions on the reception and release of aircraft were introduced in Pulkovo to ensure flight safety from 17.00 Moscow time on July 6. The airport was temporarily opened to receive aircraft from 21.30 to 22.30 Moscow time, during which time it was possible to take four flights and send five. After this period, restrictions at the airport were lifted at 02.00 Moscow time on July 7.

EADaily adds that the company "Air gates of the Northern Capital" warned passengers:

"There may be cases of non-delivery of luggage to destination airports due to the high load on the systems at Pulkovo Airport."

It is noted that such cases of non-delivery of luggage will be resolved as a matter of priority. The airport will send luggage to passengers as soon as possible.
