The Food Security Agency of Azerbaijan liquidated a batch of onion rings from Russia, reports Media.az .
639 kg of products imported from Of Russia LLC "Miratorg" and manufactured at the enterprise "Miratorg-West".
"According to the results of laboratory tests of the selected samples, microorganisms dangerous to health have been identified in the products," the agency said in a statement.
Baku made this decision amid tensions in relations with Moscow over the detention of representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Yekaterinburg on June 27. The detainees are suspected of committing murders in the 2000s.
Azerbaijan has canceled a number of joint events with Russia. In particular, the delegation of the Parliament of the republic refused to visit Moscow.
