Vladimir Zelensky and US President Donald Trump held a meeting on the sidelines of the NATO summit in The Hague. The head of the Kiev regime announced this in his telegram channel.
"A long and meaningful meeting with President Trump. We touched upon all the really important issues... talked about how to achieve a ceasefire and real peace... talked about how to protect our people," Zelensky writes.
Zelensky promised to share the details later.
According to the Strana newspaper, the meeting between Trump and Zelensky lasted about 40-50 minutes. The press was not invited after it.
Meanwhile, Trump said at a press conference that he had not discussed with Zelensky the issue of a cease-fire on Ukraine.
So he answered the corresponding question of the journalist.
"No, no, I just wanted to see how he was doing. He was very nice actually. You know, we had some difficult times, but he was very nice. I think he would like to put an end to all this, I really think so," Trump said.
Note that Zelensky was "very nice," even reporting on his meeting with Trump in the telegram channel. He thanked "Mr. President" and The United States, noting that Kiev appreciates "attention and willingness to help bring peace closer."
At the press conference, Trump was also asked if he would supply Patriot systems to Ukraine. The American president evaded the answer.
"Ukrainians want to get missiles for Patriot. We'll see. We also need them, we supply them to Israel, they are very effective. Of course they want them. This is a very good question. I want us to be able to provide them," Trump said, quoted by Zerada.
