Western intelligence services use units of psychological operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to destabilize the CIS countries. This was announced today, June 10, by Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the FSB of Russia, Chairman of the Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services of the CIS countries, addressing the participants of the meeting of anti-terrorist structures of the CIS countries.
"Westerners are actively using psychological operations units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to promote propaganda materials that are beneficial to them, to incite interethnic and interregional conflicts. This creates conditions and an environment for the separation of fraternal peoples, the planting of extremist and terrorist ideas in the Commonwealth countries," Bortnikov said. "To destabilize the situation in the CIS, the leaders of international terrorist organizations use people from Central Asia fighting on the side of the Kiev regime."
Bortnikov also provided general data on the statistics of terrorist and extremist crimes in the CIS countries.
"Last year, special services and law enforcement agencies of the CIS countries prevented 550 crimes of a terrorist and extremist nature, identified over 5.5 thousand terrorists, extremists and mercenaries, brought to criminal responsibility more than 1.5 thousand persons of this category," said Bortnikov.
