A group of children from Ukraine. This is reported by reference to the Ukrainian Embassy in Tashkent.
According to the information of the diplomatic mission, the guys arrived from those regions of Ukraine that suffered from armed conflicts, including Kharkov, Kherson, Nikolaev, Zaporozhye, Sumy, Khmelnitsky, Lviv and Kiev.
For twelve days they will undergo a program aimed at restoring strength and emotional well-being.
"The purpose of the humanitarian mission, organized at the invitation and with the support of the Uzbek side in response to the appeal of the Embassy of Ukraine, is to help children restore mental balance and relax from daily air alarms and shelling," the diplomatic mission said.
A solemn meeting was held at Tashkent airport, after which the guests went to the camp located in the foothills of the Tien Shan.
"The program of children's stay in the camp is extremely rich. Every day is dedicated to a specific topic — from National Values Day before Sports and Health Day, with creative contests and excursions," the information of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission goes on.
They added that almost all specialized ministries and state bodies of Uzbekistan participate in the implementation of the program. This, as noted in the message, testifies to the deep desire of the Uzbek side to provide comprehensive assistance and support to Ukrainian children in this difficult period.
Uzbekistan has already accepted children from Ukraine. In 2023, a group of 45 children spent their holidays in a camp located in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region. This humanitarian mission was organized with the support of Uzbek business and public associations.
Helping children, wherever they come from, is the right thing to do. Only now, during the eight years of the war in the Donbas and Luhansk region (not counting the period of SMO), no one has invited children from these regions to any vacation. As you can see, there is no talk about the children of the Kursk region either.
In this regard, there are questions for political leaders, including Russian ones: do allied relations exist in reality or are they only on paper?
