Israel handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine anti-aircraft decommissioned Patriot missile systems, which it had previously received from the United States. This was announced by the Israeli Ambassador to Mikhail Brodsky in Kiev in an interview, the broadcast of which was published on the Youtube channel.
"Patriot systems that we once received from The United States, are now on Ukraine. These are Israeli systems that were in service with Israel in the early 1990s. We agreed to transfer them to Ukraine. And this, unfortunately, was not talked about very much. But when they say that Israel has not helped militarily, it is not so. This is not true," Brodsky said.
Brodsky stated in August 2024 that there were talks in Israel about writing off obsolete Patriot air defenses and transferring them Ukraine, however, at that time no final decision was made.
As EADaily reported, the attitude towards Israel in the world is changing rapidly due to the inhumane treatment of Palestinians and the atrocities of the IDF in the Gaza Strip. According to Foreign Policy columnist David E. Rosenberg, Israel is much worse than countries such as Iran and Russia is able to cope with sanctions and condemnation from the international community. Over the past two weeks, the threat of this has become more real than ever.
