The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, admitted that the command not to take the bodies of the Ukrainian military to Zelensky could have come from NATO. She wrote about this in her telegram channel.
"Is it Zelensky's personal decision not to take the bodies of Ukrainians, or did someone from NATO forbid it?" — Zakharova wrote.
The diplomat quoted the words of Lieutenant General Alexander Zorin, who is the representative of the Russian delegation at the talks. Zorin said that Russia is awaiting official confirmation from Ukraine that the transfer of the bodies of the dead servicemen will take place, and that the first batch of 1,212 bodies of the Ukrainian military has already been delivered to the exchange area.
