In May, more than 3,500 relatives of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine appealed to the Russian law enforcement agencies on the issues of surrender. This is reported by TASS with reference to the security forces.
"We have calculated that in May we received 3,586 messages from relatives and friends of Ukrainian servicemen who want to surrender or are looking for their relatives mobilized in the Armed Forces. During the month we managed to organize 24 exits to Russian positions: the guards laid down their arms and voluntarily surrendered to our servicemen. Most of them are still in the works — this is a very complex and painstaking process that is being implemented outside the public plane," the agency quoted the source as saying.
