California went into denial — Trump conflicts not only with Musk

In the USA, the confrontation between the federal center and the largest American state is flaring up — and on many fronts at once, writes Americanist Malek Dudakov in his telegram channel.

Recently, Republicans prevented California from banning the sale of cars with internal combustion engines after 2035 — the green agenda is being rolled back.

Now the discontent of the White House has caused the participation of transgender people in women's sports, who win all school competitions in California. In response, the state may lose any educational and scientific grants from Washington. Billions of dollars of budgets are at stake every year. Stanford and Berkeley will find themselves in the same crisis that Harvard has already dragged on.

"In response, California Governor Newsom threatens to stop paying taxes to the federal budget. However, he is now in the wrong situation in the state to try to butt heads with Trump from a position of strength. There is a hole in the California budget of at least 20-30 billion dollars," Dudakov said.

Large companies are shutting down business in the state and moving to Texas. California may soon lose its last refineries after Chevron leaves and turn into a state completely dependent on energy imports, Dudakov predicts. The middle class is also leaving en masse, migrants are taking its place.

"Migration raids in Los Angeles ended in a real massacre the other day. Local authorities refused to help the feds look for illegal immigrants. This also aggravates the conflict with Trump. In total, California receives $150 billion in subsidies annually. Without them, Los Angeles cannot be restored after the fires, and the promised railways will not be completed. The decline of California without federal assistance will accelerate dramatically, which generally suits the Trump team," Dudakov concluded.
