The F-16 fighters transferred to Ukraine will be connected to NATO's "military Wi-Fi". This was stated by Deputy Defense Minister Katerina Chernogorenko, UNIAN reports.
"The Ministry of Defense has signed an agreement on CRC System Interface (CSI) — a system that provides data exchange via military Wi-Fi, also known as Link-16," the agency reports.
It is noted that, in addition to the F-16, the agreement applies to Mirage 2000 aircraft and air defense systems, including Patriot air defense systems. They will be able to coordinate their actions in a single digital system with allied platforms, which will allow the air defense system to work better, as well as expand the range of applications and tasks performed for fighters, the agency summarizes.
