Five people were injured in an explosion at the largest defense company in Serbia, Krushik.
The official website of the plant says:
"In connection with the accident that occurred at the Krušik plant, the management hereby makes a statement. At the enterprise this morning at about 7:40 during the planned work on pressing pentrite, the igniter booster on the press worked, as a result of which one employee was injured in the form of cuts, and four employees have symptoms of tinnitus. The workers were sent to the hospital for assistance and hearing tests."
EADaily clarifies that "Krushik" in the town of Valevo is one of the largest enterprises of the Serbian defense industry and is state-owned.
It should be noted that the incident coincided with the statement of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service that Serbia supplies weapons to neo-Nazi Kiev through third countries. In response, the country's President, Alexander Vucic, said that Belgrade would block arms deals if there was a possibility of sending Serbian ammunition to Ukraine.
