The Zaporozhye nuclear power plant (NPP) may already be connected to the Russian power grid, or it will happen in the very near future.
The Ukrainian edition of Strana writes about this, referring to the statement of Pyotr Andryushchenko, who was an adviser to the mayor of Mariupol at a time when the city was under the control of the Kiev regime.
The ex-official explained to the agency that the Russians had built a new highway through Mariupol district and a distribution hub of the product pipeline along with a compressor station. According to him, the construction of power lines to the NPP may have already been completed or may be at the "final stage".
"Taking into account the modernization plans, in particular, Kherson region, it looks like if the Zaporozhye NPP is not already included in the Russian energy system, then only a few weeks remain," Andryushchenko said.
Earlier, EADaily reported that preparations for the launch and production of electricity are in full swing at the Zaporozhye NPP. The license for the operation of the first unit is planned to be obtained this year. The process of preparation for operation is carried out in the generation mode in accordance with all the norms and regulations of the Russian nuclear industry.
