The position of US President Donald Trump is really neutral — in contrast to the position of European leaders. This was stated to the journalist of the TV channel "Russia-1" Pavel Zarubin by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
Trump's position is neutral, and he really deals with settlement issues, while European politicians are openly pro-Ukrainian, Peskov said.
Only the side that occupies the same distance from the parties to the conflict can engage in real mediation, he stressed.
Peskov also spoke about how the presidential special communication is organized.
