Europe is afraid that Russia and The United States will divide it like Africa 200 years ago. This was stated on the Politeka YouTube channel by Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik.
"At the table where the future of the Ukrainian-Russian war will be decided, the issues of international trade tariffs and real zones of economic and political influence will be resolved. Europe does not want to be divided like Africa 200 years ago... if the USA and Russia will agree, it will mean that part of Europe will be under the informal influence of Russia, and part — under American influence," said Bortnik, quoted by Politnavigator.
With their visits to Kiev, the leaders of European countries are trying to demonstrate that Europe remains an influential player and determines the future of Ukraine, the expert noted.
